Beavertail Trailers is looking for an experienced Trailer Mechanic or Mechanical Assembler to join our fit-off crew.

The role involves assembling and completing the final fit-off of current heavy-duty trailers before they are delivered to our customers.

About the Role

Your duties will include:

- Installing axles, suspension and braking components

- Fitting landing legs, ramps, mudguards and toolboxes

- Installing hydraulic and air components

- Completing basic trailer wiring and lighting

- Reading drawings, build sheets and measurements

- Adjusting and testing mechanical components

- Completing quality checks on finished trailers

- Identifying and reporting faults or missing parts

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

- Previous trailer assembly or fit-off experience

- Mechanical fitting or automotive mechanical experience

- Experience using hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment

- Good attention to detail





- The ability to follow drawings and instructions

- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic

- The ability to work independently and as part of a team

Experience with heavy vehicles, air brakes, hydraulics, trailer electrical systems or fabrication will be highly regarded.

A trade qualification is preferred but not essential for applicants with strong trailer assembly experience.
