The role
We are seeking an experienced Machinist / Welder / Maintenance Fitter to join our team at Booyong, NSW. This full-time role will involve a variety of hands-on maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our food production facilities.
What you'll be doing
- Perform machining, welding and maintenance work on a range of food processing equipment
- Inspect, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic components
- Carry out preventative maintenance to minimise equipment downtime
- Fabricate and modify parts and equipment as required
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities
- Comply with all health, safety and quality control protocols
What we're looking for
- Relevant trade qualifications, such as Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade
- Demonstrated experience as a Machinist, Welder or Maintenance Fitter in a food production or manufacturing setting
- Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and repair a variety of equipment
- Proficiency in welding techniques, including MIG, TIG and stick welding
- Ability to undertake rotating shift rosters including weekends.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to workplace health and safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
