Our client is seeking qualified Social Workers, Counsellors, or Behavioural Therapists to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander participants experiencing complex psychosocial challenges. This is a community-based role requiring travel to participant homes, workplaces, and community locations within the local region.

Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will provide culturally safe, trauma-informed support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander participants, helping them overcome barriers to wellbeing, independence, and employment.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver culturally safe, trauma-informed therapeutic interventions.
- Provide counselling, behavioural interventions, advocacy, and case management support.
- Support participants experiencing mental health concerns, alcohol and other drug use, domestic and family violence, housing instability, financial hardship, and other complex life challenges.
- Develop practical strategies that enhance resilience, emotional wellbeing, and independence.
- Collaborate with Employment Consultants, community organisations, and external service providers.
- Complete clinical assessments, case notes, reports,



and other documentation in line with professional standards.
- Maintain a participant-centred approach focused on achieving positive and sustainable outcomes.

About You

- Qualification in Social Work, Counselling, Behavioural Therapy, or a related discipline.
- Professional membership/accreditation with AASW, ACA, PACFA, or equivalent (where applicable).
- Experience supporting individuals facing complex psychosocial barriers.
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed, culturally safe, and strengths-based practice.
- Excellent communication, advocacy, and case management skills.
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a team-oriented team environment.
- Current Australian Driver Licence and reliable vehicle.
- Passionate about improving outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
