The Event Crew is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Event Assistant to join our growing team. If you have a passion for sport, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and want to help deliver some of Australia's leading participation events, we'd love to hear from you.
This is a hands-on role that supports all aspects of event planning and delivery, from office administration through to on-site event operations.
About the Role
This is a fixed term contract until May 2027 offering 16 hours+ per week, with additional work around events as required (including weekends).
As an Event Assistant, you'll work closely with our Event Managers to help plan, coordinate and deliver a variety of sporting events throughout the year.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with event planning and operations
- Liaising with contractors, suppliers and event stakeholders
- Preparing and submitting event approvals and permits with councils, venues and other authorities
- Warehouse duties, including preparing and packing event equipment
- Assisting with event set-up and pack-down (including physical tasks)
- Equipment maintenance and stock control
- Supporting event administration and documentation
- Providing exceptional customer service to participants and stakeholders
- Assisting with event-day operations to ensure a safe and successful event experience
About You
You'll be someone who enjoys variety, is proactive and thrives in a busy environment.
We're looking for someone who has:
- A genuine interest in sport and event management
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- The ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced workplace
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A strong focus on customer experience and event delivery
- A current driver's licence (preferred)

Availability
This role requires flexibility, including:
- Availability to work weekends during event delivery
- Some early morning starts and occasional interstate travel
- Physical fitness to assist with manual event setup and pack-down
