We are seeking an experienced Freight Officer to join a yard operations team based in Perth. This hands-on role involves safely handling, securing, and tracking freight across the yard and dispatch process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate counterbalance forklifts (up to 16T)
- Handle general, palletised, oversize and irregular freight
- Secure loads using ratchet straps, chains and binders in line with the Load Restraint Guide
- Scan and track freight throughout all stages of movement
- Use RF scanners
About You:
- Valid forklift licence with proven experience in a similar role
- Previous experience handling oversize freight (desirable)
- Solid load restraint knowledge and experience (including straps, chains, and binders)
- Team-focused with a strong safety mindset
- RF scanner experience (highly regarded)
