Longitude opened its doors for business in 2012 and quickly built a reputation as one of Australia’s leading strata insurance specialist underwriting agencies.
We are currently seeking two experienced and professional Claims Specialists in either Brisbane or Sydney with a proven track record in managing Property/Strata claims to join us on a six-or twelve-month fixed term contract, with possibility to be made permanent. The roles sit within the Longitude Insurance Claims Team, supporting the Longitude Insurance agency. The workload is constant and the ability to work accurately and manage multiple stakeholders whilst under pressure is a prerequisite of this position. Previous experience in an underwriting agency environment is desirable.
As the business has seen solid growth over the past few years, we are looking to expand the size of the claims team.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Provide a professional claims handling service to clients designed to provide solutions, achieve best possible cost outcomes and claims experience and enhance the client/broker/insurer relationship.
- Manage an end-to-end portfolio of Strata Property claims within a delegated level of authority.
- Respond to claim notifications and service enquires within internal and external compliance requirements.
- Liaise with customers, internal and external parties to coordinate claim resolution.
- Ensure skilled conduct is maintained at all times to positively promote the Company and insurance industry.

We are seeking someone who had two or more years property claims experience and possesses the ability to work in a fast-paced team workplace, manage time effectively and meeting deadlines.
- Knowledge of State/Territory specific legislation as it applies to insurance related matters
- Literacy in technology and systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- A Certificate III in General Insurance or equivalent is desirable.
