Job Description

This permanent, part time prospect offers hands-on experience in the OSHC industry. You will be supported by a Director of Service to thrive in your role.

Service Location: Deanside

You’ll work across split shifts, Monday to Friday:

- Before School Care: 6:30 – 8:45am
- After School Care: 3:00 – 6:30pm
- Total Hours: 28.75

The Role

As the Second in Charge (2IC), you will be a key leader in delivering high-quality care and creating memorable experiences for children in our service. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about childcare and leadership, ready to make a meaningful impact on children, parents, and the team.

Responsibilities

- Engage with the school community, attending events and assemblies.
- Assist with the creation and implementation of enriching experiences based on the children’s preferences in your program.
- Foster genuine relationships with children and their families.
- Plan and participate in activities that are fun and engaging for primary school-aged children.
- Support program compliance with industry regulations.

The Successful Candidate





- Ideally you have experience in Before and After School Care or education, but training is available.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment and maintains a positive, child-focused approach.
- Confident communicator with children, parents, team members, and school principals.
- Strong team player with problem-solving skills and a can-do attitude.
- Passionate about creating enriching experiences for primary-aged children.
- Energetic, enthusiastic, and enjoys having fun.
- Relevant Diploma qualification (equivalent or currently working towards it) as per ACECQA standards.
- As part of TeamKids’ commitment to child safety, completion of mandatory National Child Safety Training prior to commencing employment.
