Are you an experienced and dedicated Quality Inspector with a passion for ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance with a keen eye for detail? We are currently seeking a Quality inspector to assist with inspections, metrology, documentation, reporting and quality related activities to ensure our products meet industry standards.

QPE Advanced Machining is a growing, progressive and best practice focused machining business based in Gillman South Australia. We deliver advanced component manufacturing, assembly, validation and thorough life support for a range of industries including; defence, aerospace, mining and renewables. QPE is supported and backed by Stӓrke-AMG, who is a growth driven manufacturing group, totalling 4 businesses and housing facilities in both Australia and Michigan USA. Operating for over 50 years, Stӓrke Group service all industries with a global supply of products including additive manufacturing, printed metal & plastic, moulds, dies, production aids, fabrication, automation, precision machined components, castings, stamping and assemblies.

This role will report into the Group Quality Manager and will be responsible for:

• Conducting Quality Assurance inspections.

• Ability to use hand calibrated instruments and utilise metrology methods to ascertain product conformance.





• Minimum 1-2 years basic familiarity with metrology methods using hand calibrated instruments is required.

• Inspecting and verifying complex products for compliance with quality standards.

• Assisting with process audits and assessments of internal systems, processes, and products.

• Monitoring supplier relationships and promptly responding to issues as required.

• Handling customer complaints and non-conformance reports, responding effectively.

• Lead the root cause analysis through in-depth problem solving, implement corrective actions and ensuring appropriate follow up.

• Calibration of measuring instruments and devices.

In this role you will need:

• Ability to read and understand drawings, standards, and technical information.

• Accuracy in reporting and documentation creation.

• Ability to follow procedures and instructions.

• Strong problem-solving ability, defining root cause and utilising analysis tools.

• Proven experience implementing improvements and corrective actions.

• Ability to maintain effective and positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Knowledge of assembly and production processes and manufacturing capabilities.





• Experience in quality inspection within manufacturing environments, with knowledge of production processes and capabilities.

• Minimum 1-2 years of quality inspection experience in manufacturing environments is required.

• Be process oriented with a focus on continuous improvement.

• Have the ability to obtain an Australian defence clearance.

• Either current Australian defence clearance or the ability to obtain clearance is acceptable.

• CMM knowledge and experience will be highly regarded.

• A relevant diploma or certificate qualification in quality assurance, manufacturing, or related field is required.

• Candidates must hold either a Certificate III, Certificate IV, or Diploma level qualification in quality assurance, manufacturing, or related field.
