Honey Bang Bang is a vibrant, modern Asian fusion restaurant renowned for its bold South-East Asian flavours, premium ingredients and exceptional dining experience. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team on a full-time basis and contribute to delivering consistently high-quality food and service. The restaurant's menu features a variety of South-East Asian-inspired dishes, including curries, dumplings, salads, grilled meats and seafood, prepared using fresh ingredients and authentic cooking techniques.

About the Role

As a Chef, you will play an integral role in the daily operation of our busy commercial kitchen and will be responsible for:

- Preparing and cooking a wide variety of Asian fusion dishes in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.

- Preparing fresh ingredients, sauces, marinades and accompaniments using authentic South-East Asian cooking techniques.

- Assisting in menu planning and the development of new seasonal dishes and specials.

- Maintaining consistency, quality and presentation of all meals.

- Monitoring portion control and minimising food wastage.

- Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements.

- Managing stock levels, ordering kitchen supplies and assisting with inventory control.

- Supervising, training and supporting junior kitchen staff.





- Working efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining high standards.

Essential Requirements

The successful applicant will possess:

- Certificate III or Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification).

- At least one year of recent experience working as a Chef in a busy commercial kitchen.

- Experience preparing Asian or South-East Asian cuisine.

- Sound knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and kitchen operations.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong organisational, communication and time management skills.

- Reliable, punctual and able to work collaboratively within a team.

- Full working rights in Australia.

Desirable Skills

- Experience working with authentic South-East Asian cuisine.

- Experience in menu development and seasonal menu planning.

- Ability to prepare a variety of curries, dumplings, grilled dishes and house-made sauces.
