The position

As a Community Support Assistant (CSA) at VMCH, you’ll provide high standards of care and support to individual residents. As well as Activities of Daily life while taking into consideration their needs, life stage, development and strengths.

Highly focused on person-centred care, you’ll be across a range of communication strategies to promote positive interpersonal exchanges and interactions. All while completing accurate records and assisting to create protected and healthy environments for clients.

What’s Required

Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support or equivalent, or Certificate IV in Aged care or Ageing SupportPrevious experience at an Aged Care facility (desired)Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to converse and relate to older people with understanding, patience and sensitivityStrong commitment to client service and careTeam focused and supportive of colleaguesAble to work without supervisionSelf-motivated and positive in outlookAbility to prioritise and organise to meet timeframesSensitive and able to maintain confidentiality of both colleagues and clientsComputer skills across emails, intranet and working with MS Office
