Rosshaven Marine is seeking experienced Shipwright Tradespeople and Trade Assistants to join our busy marine facility in Townsville.

These are hands-on roles working across a diverse range of recreational and commercial vessels. We are looking for reliable team members who take pride in their work and are committed to quality, safety and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

- Fibreglass, timber and composite repairs

- Structural repairs and modifications

- Gelcoat repairs, fairing and finishing

- Antifouling and general vessel maintenance

- Removal and installation of marine fittings and equipment

- Surface preparation, sanding and painting

- Assisting qualified tradespeople with marine repair and refit work

- Maintaining clean, organised and environmentally compliant work areas

What we’re looking for:

Shipwright Tradespeople:

- A recognised shipwright or boatbuilding trade qualification

- Relevant experience with fibreglass, composite and timber repairs





- Ability to work independently and manage allocated jobs

- Strong attention to detail and pride in your workmanship

Trade Assistants:

- Previous experience in marine, construction, fabrication, painting or a similar hands-on workplace

- Experience with sanding, painting, fibreglass or general maintenance is desirable

- Willingness to learn and follow instructions

- A reliable, practical and safety-conscious approach

All applicants should have good communication and teamwork skills, a current driver’s licence and reliable transport.
