About the Role

Allied Waste Services is seeking a reliable and adaptable Waste Operations All-Rounder to join our Adelaide operations.

This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys variety and is comfortable moving between different duties as operational requirements change. You may operate a Rear Lift truck one day, assist with Front Lift or Vac operations the next, and undertake yard or general operational duties when required.

We are looking for a genuine team player who is willing to pitch in wherever needed and understands that daily duties may change to meet the needs of the business.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

- Operate Rear Lift and Front Lift waste collection vehicles

- Assist with Vac truck operations and related site work

- Complete yard duties, including cleaning, sorting, moving equipment and general site maintenance

- Collect and transport waste to approved disposal and recycling facilities

- Perform manual handling and light lifting as required

- Complete daily vehicle and equipment inspections

- Maintain accurate operational and safety records

- Follow all road rules, Chain of Responsibility requirements, safety procedures and environmental regulations

- Provide professional and courteous service to customers

- Move between different vehicles, duties and work areas depending on daily operational requirements

- Assist other drivers and operational teams whenever required

What We’re Looking For

To be successful, you’ll bring:

- A current Heavy Rigid (HR) driver’s licence

- At least six months of HR driving experience

- A flexible attitude and willingness to undertake a variety of duties





- The ability to adapt quickly when priorities or daily work requirements change

- A strong work ethic and willingness to help wherever needed

- A practical, hands-on approach to work

- A strong safety mindset and attention to detail

- The ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude

- Physical fitness suitable for manual and yard-based duties

- Flexibility to work varied hours, including occasional weekends and public holidays

- Australian working rights

Previous experience operating Rear Lift, Front Lift or Vac trucks will be highly regarded; however, training can be provided to the right person.
