COMPANY OVERVIEW

FMR Investments is a privately owned company specialising in the mining and mining-related sectors, with a strong emphasis on residential and community-based operations. We support permanent, full-time employment based locally in the Goldfields region of Western Australia.

POSITION SUMMARY

FMR Investments is seeking a Shift Process Supervisor based at our Greenfields Mill, approximately 3km east of Coolgardie. The company provides transport between the site and Coolgardie. This residential (No FIFO) role operates on an 8:6/ 7:7 roster, rotating between 12hr day and night shifts.

ROLE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Shift Supervisor at our Gold Processing Mill, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the processing plant. You will lead and support a team of operators, oversee shift performance, and help drive production targets while maintaining a strong focus on safety and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise plant operations and coordinate shift activities.

- Lead, mentor, and support processing operators and junior staff.

- Monitor plant performance, production targets, and equipment status.

- Troubleshoot operational issues and coordinate maintenance to minimise downtime.

- Complete shift reports, handovers, downtime records, and operational documentation.

- Conduct routine inspections and identify, report, and control hazards.

- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and company policies and procedures.

- Maintain high standards of safety, performance, teamwork, and communication.





- Undertake other duties as required to support operational objectives.

Equipment

- Processing plant equipment, including crushers, grinding circuits, conveyors, CIL/CIP, and leach tanks.

- Gold room equipment, including elution, electrowinning, smelting, furnaces, crucibles, moulds, and drying ovens.

- Process control systems (DCS and SCADA).

- Reporting, maintenance, and safety systems (Pronto and Skytrust).

- Gold room security systems, communication equipment, gas monitors, and analytical scales.

- Microsoft Office, radios, PPE, and other standard operational tools and equipment.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Essential

- 26 Statutory Supervisor Qualification.

- Pass National Police Check and security clearance for gold handling.

- Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a processing plant.

- Knowledge of gold processing of gold processing operations and systems.

- Proven record of safety and compliance in plant operations.

- Competent in using reporting systems (Pronto, Skytrust).

- Reside locally in the Goldfields region of Western Australia (no FIFO available).

- Physically fit and able to work in hot, secure, and confined environments.

- Results driven with strong attention to detail.

- High initiative,



a can-do attitude, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.

- Adaptable and adaptable with strong problem-solving skills.

- Team-oriented with ability to effectively collaborate with other trades and stakeholders.

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions.

- Safety-focused with a commitment to zero harm.

Desirable

- Exposure to continuous improvement initiatives.

- Australian recognised Certificate IV or Diploma in Process Plant Operations, Mining, or similar.

- Understanding of metallurgical principles and production KPIs.

- Previous smelting experience or metallurgical background.

- Strong technical knowledge of the gold resource sector operations or mining industry.

- First Aid or Emergency Response training.

- High Risk Work Licence (HRWL).

- Elevated Work Platform Ticket (EWP).

- Confined Space Entry Ticket.

- Working Safely at Heights Ticket.

- Current C Class Manual Driver’s Licence.

- Frontline Management or Leadership Qualification.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Must have full legal rights to work in Australia and the ability to pass a National Police Clearance and fitness to work medical including drug and alcohol screening.
