Our client, a reputable shopping centre landlord, is seeking an experienced Senior Facilities Manager to lead the day-to-day facilities oversite of the centre’s built environment, preserving and boosting the value of the shopping centre through effective management of various aspects including building services, infrastructure, ESG initiatives, compliance, and more.
This role is ideal for someone from a facilities, construction, or property background who is really for their next challenge in the property sector.
The successful candidate will lead the facilities team while working closely with contractors, consultants and the broader centre management team, bringing a keen eye for operational efficiency and technical maintenance that enhances the shopping centre experience making sure the built environment is compliant and well-maintained.
Key Duties:
- Managing day-to-day facilities management of the shopping centres built environment
- Budget management and planning
- Building relationships with retailers
- Disaster recovery planning and risk management
- Contractor management
- Coordination of tenant fit-outs and de-fits
- Providing leadership to support staff
- Liaising with stakeholders
Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience in shopping centre or large-scale facilities management equivalent
- Strong technical experience and knowledge across all building services e.g. HVAC, mechanical, electrical, cleaning and security services
- Proven leadership ability managing and mentoring a small team
- Knowledge of building infrastructure and systems
- Problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Capacity to work flexible hours, including weekend work when required
- The know how to build strong relationships with all stake holders
