AusPress is a proudly Australian company specialising in the design, manufacture and supply of high-performance stainless steel press-fit piping systems, floor drainage channels and installation tooling. With manufacturing facilities in Adelaide, we provide creative solutions to the healthcare, food and beverage, commercial plumbing, water treatment and maritime industries.
We are looking for an experienced and organised Draftperson to join our Adelaide team. This is a diverse, hands-on role that combines technical product support with purchasing, customer service, and specific product warehouse coordination.
About the Role
As the Technical Design Manager, you will play a key role in supporting customers and the wider business by preparing stainless steel drainage channel and grating quotations, managing specialised drainage product enquiries, coordinating purchasing activities and assisting with the design of customised drainage solutions. You will also oversee the efficient receipt and dispatch of these goods, liaise with our Fabrication Team for manufacture, and ensuring our customers receive exceptional service from enquiry through to delivery.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed design drawings in accordance with Hydraulic Consultant/Architectural detail and create quotations and technical proposals for customers for AusPress supplied product.
- Assist customers with drainage product selection and technical enquiries.
- Coordinate purchasing of materials and stock.
- Manage supplier relationships and assist with monitoring inventory levels.
- Receive and dispatch incoming and outgoing goods.
- Assist with coordinating channel and grating freight and deliveries.
- Assist with customised drainage layouts and product configurations.
- Liaise with customers, suppliers and the manufacturing team to ensure projects are delivered efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records, pricing and product information.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and customer service.
- Provide general operational support across the business as required.
About You
You are organised, proactive and enjoy working in a role that offers variety. You have strong communication skills, a practical approach to problem-solving and enjoy working with both customers and technical products.
You will have strong experience with CAD and Revit Platforms, and be able to interpret Hydraulic and Architectural drawings, layouts, and section detailing on large scale commercial Projects.
Time management and the ability to prioritise actions to attend to critical works paths will be second nature.
