About the role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Restaurant Manager to join the team at Paste Australia in Mittagong, NSW. This is a full time position that offers a fantastic opportunity to lead and manage all aspects of our restaurant operations. As Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for creating an exceptional dining experience for our guests whilst ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, maintaining high standards of service, and achieving business objectives. This role is pivotal in shaping the success and reputation of our establishment within the hospitality and tourism industry.

Key responsibilities

1. Oversee all daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, and ensuring the establishment runs efficiently

2. Lead, recruit, train and manage restaurant staff to deliver consistently high-quality service and maintain team morale

3. Monitor and maintain health, safety and food hygiene standards in compliance with relevant legislation and regulations

4. Manage budgets, control costs and maximise profitability whilst maintaining service quality

5. Maintain a well-stocked inventory of food, beverages and supplies, liaising with suppliers as needed

6. Oversee reservation systems and manage guest seating to optimise table turnover and customer satisfaction

7. Handle customer inquiries, complaints and feedback professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction and loyalty

8. Develop and implement marketing initiatives and promotional activities to drive revenue and attract new customers

9. Conduct regular staff meetings and performance reviews to foster a positive workplace culture

10. Ensure compliance with company policies, licensing requirements and legal obligations

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 3-5 years' experience in restaurant management or a similar hospitality management role

2. Proven track record of successfully managing restaurant operations, staff and budgets

3.



Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members

4. Excellent customer service abilities and a genuine passion for hospitality

5. Knowledge of health, safety and food hygiene regulations and best practices

6. Proficiency with restaurant management systems and point-of-sale (POS) software

7. Strong financial acumen and experience with budget management and cost control

8. Excellent organisational and time management skills

9. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required

10. Certification in Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) is essential

11. First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it is desirable
