With continued growth and recent expansion at our Edinburgh site, we’re strengthening our Operations team and looking for an experienced Electrical Fitter to join our maintenance crew.
About the Role
As an Electrical Fitter at MASTEC, you’ll play a key role in keeping our plant running smoothly by ensuring the electrical reliability, safety, and performance of all machinery and equipment.
This is a hands-on role in a busy manufacturing environment, ideal for someone with strong industrial electrical experience and a proactive approach to preventative maintenance and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative and reactive electrical maintenance on plant and equipment
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults and breakdowns in a quick-paced production setting
- Manage Electrical Spares and work with suppliers
- Assist with new equipment installation, upgrades, and electrical improvements
- Maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with WHS and electrical standards
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to maximise equipment uptime
What You’ll Bring
- Trade qualification In Electrical, able to achieve an “A Grade” Licence to conduct any electrical work in SA a minimum
- Current Electrical Licence (SA or equivalent) as a minimum
- Post Trade qualifications Electronics/ Industrial/ Instrumentation an advantage
- Post trade Hydraulics/ Pneumatics an advantage
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills, from an industrial background
- Strong ability to read and understand electrical and program schematics
- Experience with injection moulding or automated machinery (advantageous)
- Experience with multi agency shutdowns of plant and equipment at an industrial level
- Experience with instrumentation, PLC, HMI, Robots, Multi-channel safety circuits, Smart Drives on an industrial scale
- A proactive, safety-focused attitude and commitment to teamwork
