About the Role
As our Service Division continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Senior Electrician to join our Field Service team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified and motivated electrician who enjoys variety and autonomy. No two days are the same. You'll undertake fault finding, maintenance, commissioning, breakdown response and small project works across a diverse range of industrial and mining clients throughout Perth Metro and regional Western Australia.
Unlike fixed FIFO rosters, CES offers a variety of work patterns, including metro, regional and occasional remote work, providing flexibility while supporting a healthy work-life balance.
This role would suit someone who takes pride in delivering quality workmanship, enjoys solving technical problems and values building long-term relationships with clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform reactive breakdown maintenance and fault finding across industrial electrical systems.
- Carry out preventative maintenance, inspections and testing.
- Install, commission and maintain electrical, instrumentation and control systems.
- Diagnose faults on motor control circuits, MCCs, VSDs, soft starters and industrial equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, control schematics and P&IDs.;
- Conduct testing, calibration and commissioning of electrical equipment.
- Provide outstanding customer service while representing CES on client sites.
- Maintain a strong commitment to safety, quality and company procedures.
- Complete service reports and documentation to a high standard.
About You
You are an experienced industrial electrician who enjoys working across multiple sites and industries. You are self-motivated, professional and capable of working independently while contributing positively to a high-performing team.
You will need to have:
Essential
- WA Electrical Licence
- Current Construction White Card
- Current C Class Driver's Licence
- Current LVR/CPR Certificate
- Current Provide First Aid Certificate
- Australian Working Rights
- National Police Clearance
- High Risk Work Licence – EWP
- Working at Heights
- Gas Test Atmospheres
- Enter and Work in Confined Spaces
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- A proactive attitude with a strong commitment to safety
- Experience working within industrial, mining or heavy industrial environments
Highly Regarded
- Certificate IV in Hazardous Areas
- Certificate IV in Instrumentation
- Instrumentation experience
- PLC fault finding or programming exposure
- Experience with industrial control systems, motor control, instrumentation and automation
- Experience with fuel management systems such as Smartfill, TT Fuel or Compac
