About the role

Reporting to the Commercial Operations Manager, the Commercial Lead – Energy holds a pivotal role in evaluating and shaping the growth and investment framework, translating complex data, market dynamics, and the digital/AI opportunities across WesCEF.

This highly influential role will act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and key stakeholders, uplifting commercial capability across the business and setting standards for modelling, insights, and governance.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, influence and prioritise growth opportunities, including new market products, energy solutions, and strategic partnerships to deliver growth outcomes.
- Shape market strategies, pricing structures and customer value propositions for recent and existing market segments.
- Lead the structuring of installer and supplier agreements within the platform and evaluate ongoing investment decisions for Kleenheat Spark.
- Develop complex financial models, forecasts and valuation frameworks to support major investment decisions that drive measurable commercial outcomes.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders in influencing strategic direction on key business and customer investments, including emerging commercial risks and potential mitigants.
- Communicate complex insights and recommendations to senior leadership in a clear, concise and commercially compelling way.
- Serve as a key presenter delivering commercial strategies to the senior leadership team and key stakeholders.
- Demonstrate visible HSE leadership and champion a positive HSE culture.

About You

- Degree qualification in Business, Commerce, Economics, Finance or a related field with experience in a similar Commercial Lead role within the energy,



resource or utilities sector.
- Competent at developing and delivering complex commercial models and analysis (business cases, ROI, scenario analysis).
- Experienced with large data sets, dashboards and analytics tools such as Power BI.
- Skilled in strategising new market segments, business ventures, and growth initiatives from concept through to execution.
- Strong collaboration, influential and communication skills, with the confidence to pivot style for varied stakeholders.
- Experience working with external markets and investors to deliver commercial and business outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to drive positive change while setting robust frameworks and commercial governance.
- Resilient in operating within ambiguous, fast‑moving and evolving environments.
- Some local and international business travel may be required.
