Ongoing 8/6 Roster | Kalgoorlie | Brownfields Piping Project

Strategy Maintenance Systems is seeking expressions of interest from experienced and reliable personnel for an ongoing mechanical piping project in Kalgoorlie.

The work involves the installation of AusPress stainless-steel press-fit pipework throughout an operating processing facility. The scope includes pipe installation, supports and brackets, equipment access, lifting activities, road and operational-area crossings, QA documentation and staged tie-ins.

We are building a small, hardworking crew with a strong focus on safety, quality and productivity. This is not a role for passengers. We need people who take pride in their work, support the crew and can consistently deliver a high standard without being carried.

Positions and Rates

- Section 26 Supervisor – $90 per hour

- Mechanical Fitters – $72 per hour

- Boilermakers – $72 per hour

- Trades Assistants – $50 per hour

Roster and Location

- Ongoing 8 days on / 6 days off roster

- Kalgoorlie-based project

- Work within an operational processing plant

- Potential for long-term work for the right personnel

Essential Requirements

Applicants must have:

- Current EWP ticket and demonstrated EWP experience

- Relevant trade qualification for Mechanical Fitter and Boilermaker positions

- Current Australian driver’s licence

- Construction Industry White Card

- Previous mining, fixed-plant, construction or brownfields project experience

- Solid commitment to safety, quality and following site procedures

- Ability to pass all required medical, drug and alcohol and site access requirements

- A reliable work history and strong references

- The ability to work effectively as part of a small crew

Supervisor Requirements

The Section 26 Supervisor must also have:

- Current qualifications and experience suitable for a Section 26 statutory supervisory appointment

- Proven experience supervising mechanical,



piping or fixed-plant project crews

- Strong understanding of permits, isolations, JHAs, Take 5s and secure work methodologies

- Ability to coordinate work fronts, access requirements, lifting activities and operational interfaces

- Experience managing QA records, ITP requirements, installation traceability and project documentation

- A hands-on leadership style and the ability to maintain standards across the crew

Highly Regarded Tickets and Experience

The following will be viewed favourably:

- Forklift

- CN crane

- Telehandler

- Basic, Intermediate or Advanced Rigging

- Basic, Intermediate or Advanced Scaffolding

- Working at Heights

- Confined Space Entry

- AusPress or other press-fit piping installation experience

- Stainless-steel pipework installation

- Pipe support, bracket and structural fabrication experience

- Experience working around live processing plant operations
