About the Role

Reporting to one of our Business Services Partners,



and working closely with our team of Chartered Accountants, your duties will include but are not limited to:

- Preparation of financial statements, income tax returns and other compliance documents for partner review

- Data entry and reconciliations; producing standard letters and reports that are clear, concise and professionally presented

- Preparing and regularly reviewing workflow and turnaround times to meet deadlines and budgets

- Meeting required chargeable hours and billings as stipulated

- Preparing trial balances and reviewing asset, liability, expense and income general ledger accounts, including variance analysis and commentary on financial figures

- Posting monthly journals for payroll, employee superannuation, PAYG withholding tax, salary sacrifice, commissions and employee termination payments

- Preparing client services such as Business Activity Statements (BAS) and STP reports

- Implementing and administering accounting information systems in Xero

About You

- Bachelor's degree in Business/Accounting from a recognised university

- At least three years' experience within a public accounting firm

- Highly experienced in Xero

- Ability to prioritise and work effectively within a team, as well as independently

- Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office products

- A sound knowledge of accounting and taxation principles

- Self-motivated and comfortable managing your own workload in a remote setting
