About the Opportunity

A well-established and growing engineering and machining business is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join its workshop team. Servicing a range of heavy industries including mining, agriculture, manufacturing, logistics, and industrial operations, this role offers a stable long-term opportunity within a busy and supportive environment.

The successful candidate will be a trade-qualified Machinist with strong manual machining skills and exposure to CNC equipment. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in producing high-quality precision components and enjoys working as part of a close-knit team.

Key Responsibilities

- Set up and operate manual and CNC machinery, including lathes and milling machines

- Manufacture precision-engineered components to specification

- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation

- Perform machine setups, tool changes, offsets, and program adjustments as required

- Conduct quality inspections and maintain production records

- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and workplace safety standards

- Work collaboratively within a team-focused workshop environment

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role,



you will possess:

- Trade qualification in Fitting & Machining or equivalent

- Experience operating manual machining equipment, including lathes and mills

- CNC machining experience highly regarded

- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work

- Sound problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Understanding of quality assurance processes and manufacturing standards
