The Role

We're looking for a strategic and culturally connected PR Manager to own how AFENDS shows up in the world. This is a role for someone who understands the value of the right relationships — with creators, press, and communities - and knows how to leverage them to grow a brand with real identity and purpose.

Your responsibilities will include:

Gifting & Creator Strategy - You will make the strategic calls on who AFENDS gifts and why, building a considered seeding program that puts product in the hands of the right people at the right time. Beyond gifting, you will develop and manage ongoing relationships with creators and talent to organically expand AFENDS' reach and evolve our brand image across new audiences and communities.

Influencer & Paid Collaboration Briefing - Working closely with the media buying team, you will translate campaign objectives into transparent,



on-brand briefs for paid influencer and talent partnerships. You will manage those relationships end-to-end, ensuring content delivers against both the creative vision and the performance goals of the ad account.

External Events - You will identify and manage AFENDS' presence at external events, from cultural festivals and music events to industry activations and community moments. This means securing the right opportunities, overseeing execution on the ground, and ensuring every touchpoint reflects the AFENDS world authentically.

About You

You have 3–5 years of experience in PR, influencer marketing, or communications within fashion, streetwear, or a relevant lifestyle space. You're strategic, well-networked, and confident making decisions on brand fit. You understand how earned and paid media work together, and you know how to brief creatives in a way that gets results without losing the brand's voice. Most importantly, you genuinely live the culture — sustainability, surf, skate, music, and art are part of who you are.
