- $1,281.99 gross per 38 hour week, plus 17.5% annual leave loading and up to 12.65% superannuation.
- Permanent Full time position based at our Greenmount Depot.
- Work a 9 day fortnight with a Rostered Day Off.
About the position
As a Gardener, you will be responsible for undertaking highly skilled gardening duties and be responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of plant and equipment to ensure delivery of the desired standards of service in the maintenance of Council parks and gardens. You will be responsible for the care and maintenance of machinery and may be required to perform a range of park maintenance duties using various pieces of equipment.
You will work under general supervision.

What you'll bring
- Current ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence.
- WHS Competency (White Card) for CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry,
or equivalent, or a willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
- Certificate II in Horticulture or demonstrated experience in a relevant industry is highly desirable.
- Current ‘MR’ Class Driver’s Licence is highly desirable.
- ACDC (Agricultural Chemicals Distribution Control) Spraying certificate is highly desirable.
- Traffic Management Implementation Level II Certificate or Working in Proximity to Traffic (Part 1 and 2) is desirable.
- Interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills.
