About the role

We are seeking a reliable and energetic Delivery Driver / Production Assistant to join our team at Farmer's Bakehouse in Dubbo. This is a casual position that offers flexibility whilst supporting both our production and delivery operations. You will play a vital role in ensuring our baked goods reach customers on time and in perfect condition, whilst also assisting with production tasks as required. This position is instrumental in maintaining our reputation for reliability and quality service.

What You Will Do

- On the Road (approx. 50%): Safely drive and deliver goods to customers and and provide friendly customer service during drop-offs.

- On the Production Line (approx. 50%): Assist on the production line, handle materials, package finished goods, food handling, and maintain a clean, protected warehouse environment.

Key responsibilities

1. Operate delivery vehicles safely and efficiently to transport baked goods to customers throughout the Dubbo region

2. Handle and store baked goods appropriately to maintain product quality during transport

3. Support production team members with packaging, labelling, and preparation of products for delivery

4. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in both vehicles and production areas

5. Adhere to all health, safety, and food handling regulations

6. Proven experience in local driving, multi-drop deliveries, or courier work.

7. Physical fitness and the ability to lift up to [e.g., 15kg–20kg] safely.

A strong work ethic and a willingness to help out on the factory floor when not driving.

What we're looking for

1. Valid Australian driver's licence required

2. Clean driving record with no major traffic violations

3. Experience in delivery driving or a similar role

4. Ability to work early morning shifts, as production and delivery often commence early

5. Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality

6. Good communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor

7. Reliability and punctuality
