Are you a registered psychologist who is already working in Positive Behaviour Support, or a psychologist who wants to develop into PBS with the right support?

Sigma Therapies is looking for a Registered Psychologist and Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our clinician-led Perth team.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys clinical complexity, formulation, behaviour assessment, therapy, stakeholder consultation and meaningful community-based work.

You will support a mix of NDIS participants and private/self-funded clients , with flexibility to shape the role around your skills, PBS experience and clinical interests.

No formal cover letter is required. A CV and a short message are enough.

Important note about this role

This is not a PBS-only role.

We are looking for someone who is:

- a registered psychologist already considered suitable as an NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner, or
- a registered psychologist who is genuinely interested in developing into Positive Behaviour Support with appropriate supervision and support

If you are not yet considered suitable as an NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner, we can discuss a development pathway. PBS responsibilities will depend on your experience, suitability status and supervision requirements.

Why psychologists choose Sigma Therapies

- Strong salary package

- Earn $95,000 to $120,000 + super , with bonus potential depending on role structure, performance and caseload.

- Psychology plus PBS, not just one narrow caseload

- Your role can include psychological therapy, PBS, functional behaviour assessment,

consultation, NDIS reporting and private/self-funded clinical work.

- WFH report-writing and admin flexibility

- Supervision and case discussion

- Admin support

- Meaningful clinical work

- Clinician-led team

About the role

Depending on your experience and PBS suitability status, your role may include:

- psychological therapy for NDIS and private/self-funded clients

- functional behaviour assessments

- interim and comprehensive behaviour support plans

- behaviour support implementation and review

- stakeholder consultation with families, support workers, coordinators, schools and providers

- clinical formulation and risk assessment

- restrictive practice reduction planning, where relevant

- NDIS documentation and reporting

- collaboration with OTs and other allied health clinicians

- future aged care service development opportunities as Sigma expands

The exact caseload will be shaped around your skills, interests and experience.

This role may suit you if you are

- a psychologist already working in PBS

- a psychologist wanting to move into PBS

- a psychologist with NDIS experience

- a psychologist with disability, complex behaviour, mental health, trauma, forensic, child/adolescent or neurodevelopmental experience

- looking for a role that is more varied than a high-volume therapy-only caseload

- wanting flexibility, supervision, admin support and room to grow

What you will bring

You will need:

- general registration as a psychologist with AHPRA

- interest in Positive Behaviour Support, or current PBS experience

- strong clinical formulation and report-writing skills

- ability to work with families, support workers, providers and multidisciplinary teams

- a valid WA driver’s licence and reliable vehicle

- NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain

- a practical, ethical and person-centred approach

Ideally, you will already be considered suitable as an NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner at Core level or above. However, psychologists who are not yet PBS practitioners but are genuinely interested in developing into this area are encouraged to apply.
