We're looking for an experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join our SHEQ team and become a trusted partner to our operational leaders at Sydney's Kurnell Desalination Plant. This is a predominantly field-based role (80% of your time), meaning you'll be where it matters most — on site, building relationships, influencing behaviours, and driving real safety outcomes.

This isn't a tick and flick compliance role. It's a genuine opportunity to shape safety culture, mentor frontline teams, and make a measurable difference across our operations.

What you'll be responsible for

- Lead from the field : Conduct inspections, audits, and walk-throughs to monitor compliance and coach operational teams to close out findings
- Drive safety culture : Facilitate incident investigations, deliver SHEQ training, and support the development of safe operating procedures
- Implement programs : Roll out drug & alcohol testing, injury prevention initiatives,



and the AlwaysSafe Culture framework
- Collaborate on innovation : Partner with operations on the safe installation and use of new equipment
- Report & improve : Monitor safety performance, identify high-risk factors, and provide data-driven insights to operational leaders

What you'll need to be successful

- Formal qualification in OH&S; or significant hands-on experience in a comparable safety role
- Solid working knowledge of relevant safety legislation, including Chain of Responsibility
- Demonstrated experience implementing safety management systems
