The Opportunity

Reporting to the State Sales Manager this role sits at the centre of engineering, design and commercial delivery.

As a Packaging Engineer, you’ll take ownership of developing and optimising corrugated packaging solutions, working closely with customers, sales and manufacturing teams to deliver smarter, more efficient outcomes.

This is a hands‑on, customer‑facing role where you’ll lead trials, influence design decisions and drive continuous improvement across both customer and plant environments.

What You Will Do

- Design and deliver fit‑for‑purpose packaging solutions
- Lead product trials across plant and customer sites
- Optimise board grades, carton design and specifications
- Partner with customers to improve packaging performance and cost
- Support tenders with practical, commercially viable solutions
- Collaborate with Sales, Design and Operations to deliver outcomes
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, throughput and margin
- Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement initiatives
- Provide technical guidance on packaging machinery and performance
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality and operational standards

What You Will Bring

- Experience in packaging,



manufacturing or product development (corrugated highly regarded)
- Strong understanding of packaging design, materials and production processes
- Ability to balance technical requirements with commercial outcomes
- Experience working directly with customers in a solutions‑focused role
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
- Confident stakeholder engagement across operations and sales
- Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on efficiency and innovation
