Looking for a flexible casual opportunity with a supportive and professional dental team? We are seeking an experienced and reliable Casual Dental Assistant to join our friendly practice in Far North Queensland.
As a key member of our clinical team, you'll play an important role in delivering exceptional patient care while supporting our dentists to provide high‑quality treatment. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident Dental Assistant who enjoys working in a fast‑paced environment and takes pride in creating positive patient experiences.
Responsibilities
- Chairside assistance during a variety of dental procedures
- Prepare and sterilise instruments in accordance with infection control protocols
- Set up and maintain treatment rooms
- Provide excellent patient care and support before, during, and after treatment
- Maintain accurate clinical records
- Manage stock and clinical supplies
- Assist with basic reception duties when required
- Ensure the practice maintains high standards of cleanliness and organisation
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant.
- Cert III or IV in Dental Assisting is advantageous.
- A strong understanding of infection control and sterilisation procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work efficiently in a busy team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- A professional, reliable, and well‑presented manner.
- A caring, positive, and patient‑focused approach.
- Casual position.
- Must be available to work weekdays between 8:00am – 5:00pm .
- Able to work occasional Saturdays as part of a rotating roster.
