THE ROLE

We have an opportunity for an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to join our Oracle Database practice, providing technical database administration and managed services to a wide range of customers across Australia and New Zealand.

This role is ideally suited to someone based in Adelaide, South Australia , with strong Oracle DBA experience across administration, support, migrations, upgrades, performance tuning and cloud database environments.

You will work closely with customers, technical specialists and internal teams to deliver high-quality database services, support project delivery and contribute to ongoing service improvement.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide Oracle database administration, managed services and technical support across customer environments.
- Design, build, maintain and troubleshoot Oracle databases across on-premise and cloud environments.
- Manage backup, recovery, disaster recovery, security, performance monitoring and tuning.
- Support database upgrades, migrations, consolidations and cloud transition projects.
- Provision, configure and manage Oracle Autonomous Databases on OCI, including ATP and ADW.




- Support migrations from on-premises Oracle databases to OCI using tools such as RMAN, Data Pump, ZDM and GoldenGate.
- Work closely with customers, developers and technical teams to resolve issues and deliver quality outcomes.
- Provide guidance to less senior DBAs where required.

About You

- Strong experience as an Oracle Database Administrator, ideally across complex enterprise or managed services environments.
- Strong Oracle Database experience across 10g to 19c, UNIX / Linux and Windows.
- Experience with Oracle RMAN, Grid Infrastructure, RAC and ASM.
- Strong skills across database security, recovery, monitoring, performance tuning and SQL optimisation.
- Experience delivering database implementations, upgrades, migrations and consolidation projects.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Autonomous Database on OCI, including ATP and ADW.
- Working knowledge of OCI services, networking, monitoring, logging and alerting.
- Experience using tools such as ZDM, RMAN, Data Pump or GoldenGate.
- Strong customer‑facing, troubleshooting and communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team and manage competing priorities.

Highly Desirable

- Experience with Oracle Exadata or Oracle Database Appliance.
- Broader Oracle Cloud Infrastructure database administration or migration experience.
