The Opportunity

We're looking for a Fire Protection Engineer to join our growing National Tunnels & Tunnel Systems team in Sydney.

Working across major road, rail and transport infrastructure projects, you'll collaborate with specialists in tunnel ventilation, fire and life safety, and mechanical engineering to help deliver innovative solutions on some of the region's most significant infrastructure projects.

This is an excellent chance for an engineer who enjoys working in a multidisciplinary environment and wants to broaden their experience across complex tunnel and transport systems projects.

What you'll do

- Contribute to the design and delivery of fire protection and tunnel systems solutions on major infrastructure projects.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams throughout project planning and design phases.
- Support the development of tunnel ventilation, fire life safety and mechanical systems designs.
- Build strong relationships with clients, contractors and project stakeholders.

What we’ll love about you





- A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Safety Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience in fire protection, fire safety, mechanical or tunnel systems engineering.
- Exposure to the design phase of infrastructure projects.
- An understanding of relevant Australian standards, codes and industry practices.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to project delivery.

You’ll stand out if you have

- Experience designing tunnel systems, particularly tunnel ventilation systems.
- Experience working on transport or major infrastructure projects.
- CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) modelling experience.
- Experience using FDS or similar fire and ventilation modelling tools.
