Woodgate Beach Hotel is seeking a qualified Chef to join our kitchen team in Woodgate, Queensland. The successful applicant will work alongside the Head Chef and kitchen team in a busy beachside hotel environment, preparing and delivering high-quality meals and supporting smooth daily kitchen operations.

Key duties and responsibilities include:

- Preparing and cooking high-quality meals in accordance with the hotel’s menu and service standards.

- Working under the direction of the Head Chef while independently performing daily chef duties during service.

- Assisting with menu planning, seasonal specials and food preparation requirements.

- Monitoring food quality, presentation and consistency during preparation and service.

- Ensuring food safety, hygiene and kitchen cleanliness procedures are followed.

- Assisting with stock control, minimising waste and controlling food costs effectively.





- Coordinating with cooks and kitchen hands to support smooth kitchen operations.

- Demonstrating cooking techniques and assisting with training kitchen hands or junior staff where required.

Requirements:

- Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery, Kitchen Management, or an equivalent relevant qualification.

- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as a Chef or in a similar commercial kitchen role.

- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene procedures.

- Ability to work in a busy kitchen environment.

- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

Benefits:

- Full time position.

- Salary package between $75,000 and $85,000 per annum plus superannuation.
