Drives and Accessories is a family owned small business that has been operating in South Australia for over 30 years. With a workshop in Wingfield SA, we specialise in sales and servicing of power transmission systems for a number of industrial clients in a range of industries including but not limited to; food and beverage manufacturing, waste and recycling processing, building and construction, heavy industry.

About the role:

We are looking for an experienced Fitter and Turner to join our team to work in our workshop and at various client sites. Working in our small and tight knit team, the successful applicant will:

- Disassemble, assess, repair and reassemble a wide range of power transmission systems including gearboxes, conveyors, motors, pumps, rollers and other mechanical components

- Perform machining tasks using the lathe, mill and other workshop machines

- Read and work from technical drawings

- Conduct onsite work for various clients to carry out shutdown, breakdown, maintenance or project based fitting works





- Perform basic administrative tasks - take photos of client equipment during repairs to document job, complete job sheets

- Ensure a high level of quality, accuracy and safety in all works undertaken

- Competitive hourly rate plus penalties and overtime

About you:

- Trade qualified Fitter and Turner (Cert III Engineering - Mechanical) or equivalent experience

- Knowledge and experience in general fitting and repairs of motors, gearboxes, pumps etc

- Welding ability - MIG, Arc, Oxy and TIG

- Robust problem solving skills

- Demonstrated work ethic and ability to work under pressure

- Forklift licence, working at heights, B-Class electrical licence, confined spaces tickets will all be highly regarded

- Willingness to work overtime if and when required

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
