What you'll be doing
- Thoroughly assess mortgage applications, including income, assets, liabilities and credit history
- Prepare detailed credit assessments and financial analysis to support lending decisions
- Collaborate with the lending team to provide recommendations on loan approvals and mitigate risks
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all credit assessments and supporting documentation
- Continuously monitor changes in credit policies, regulations and market conditions to ensure compliance
- Provide exceptional customer service and respond to client inquiries in a timely manner
What we're looking for
- Relevant tertiary qualification in finance, economics, accounting or a related field
- Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a credit analysis or lending role, preferably within the mortgage industry
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial information
- Excellent attention to detail and a thorough, methodical approach to credit assessment
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and provide clear, concise recommendations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in using relevant mortgage and credit assessment software
- Experience with industry standard mortgage and credit assessment tools is essential
- Australian citizenship is required for this position
