We are excited to be opening a newly renovated Innes Park Early Learning Centre and are looking for a passionate and experienced Assistant Director / Educational Leader to join our leadership team.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced early childhood professional who is passionate about mentoring educators and inspiring high-quality practice.

As the Assistant Director / Educational Leader, you will work closely with the Centre Director to support the daily operations of the service while leading the educational program and mentoring educators to deliver exceptional learning outcomes for children.

You will champion reflective practice, build educator capability, promote innovative teaching strategies, and support a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement and professional growth.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will actively support educators across all learning environments while ensuring programs align with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF),



National Quality Framework (NQF) and National Quality Standard (NQS).

Key Responsibilities

- Support the Centre Director with the day-to-day leadership and administration of the service.

- Lead, mentor and inspire educators to deliver high-quality educational programs and practices.

- Foster a culture of critical reflection, collaboration and continuous improvement.

- Support educators in planning, implementing and evaluating engaging, play-based learning experiences.

- Guide educators in documenting children's learning and development in meaningful and purposeful ways.

- Promote best practice aligned with the EYLF, NQF, NQS and current early childhood research.

- Build positive and respectful relationships with children, families, educators and the wider community.

- Lead and support the implementation of the Centre's Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).

- Maintain a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.

- Champion children's rights, voices and participation in all aspects of the educational program.

- Assist with compliance, policy implementation and continuous quality improvement initiatives.

- Support staff performance, coaching and professional development.

About You

You are an inspiring leader who is passionate about early childhood education and enjoys mentoring others to achieve their best.

You will bring:

- Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), National Quality Framework (NQF) and National Quality Standard (NQS).

- Previous experience in an early childhood leadership role or mentoring educators.

- Excellent leadership, communication and relationship-building skills.





- Strong organisational and time management abilities.

- A commitment to reflective practice and continuous improvement.

- A positive, collaborative and professional approach.

- A genuine passion for supporting children, families and educators.

Essential Requirements

- ACECQA-approved Diploma or Bachelor qualification (or equivalent).

- Current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check).

- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications (or willingness to obtain).

- Foundation of Child Safety Training.

- Child Protection Training.

- Food Safety/Food Handling Certificate (or willingness to obtain).

- Availability to work adaptable shifts between 6:30 am and 6:30 pm, Monday to Friday.
