Join our fabrication team at our Edinburgh workshop in a hands-on role suited to a skilled tradesperson who takes pride in quality tradecraft. To be successful you will be able to read drawings with confidence and work well with team members to achieve project deliverables. You’ll be involved in a mix of fabrication and welding, working to deadlines while maintaining high standards and contributing to continuous improvement across the workshop.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review detailed drawings and specifications to determine job requirements
- Performing TIG welding for material thickness between 2.0mm-6.0mm
- Performing MIG welding for material thickness between 1.0mm-10.0mm
- Work closely with the team to meet deadlines and achieve cost-effective outcomes
- Maintain a strong focus on quality, efficiency and safety standards
- Problem-solve and adapt to daily challenges on the workshop floor
Skills and Qualification Requirements:
- Trade qualified in Metal Fabrication
- Robust MIG and TIG welding capability
- Forklift licence preferred
- Willingness to complete weld test as part of interview process
