What you need to know
- One temporary full‑time position available.
- 76 hours per fortnight.

ABOUT THIS WORK AREA
- Positioning IKEA as the first choice for home furnishing in the local market by delivering high‑quality carpentry and paintwork throughout the store.
- Following work briefs to implement custom display solutions, including painting, tiling, floor laying, wall installations and complex furniture builds.
- Securing high‑quality, simple and cost‑conscious outcomes by using best practice methods and following established routines.
- Supporting the Communication & Interior team with ad hoc projects to ensure the store remains in “shape as new” condition.
You are someone who
- Has a genuine passion for quality, craftsmanship and home furnishing.
- Takes a practical, hands‑on approach and enjoys getting involved.
- Thrives in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment and can meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.
- Is confident and safety‑focused when performing painting, drilling, installations and heavy lifting.
- Ideally has prior carpentry experience, particularly in a commercial or retail environment.
This role is physically active and requires a strong safety mindset and attention to detail.
A DAY IN YOUR LIFE WITH US
- Contributing to positioning the IKEA store as the first choice for home furnishing in your local market.
- Following work briefs agreed with colleagues to implement all store media, such as wall constructions, floor laying, painting, tiling and the building of complex furniture installations.
- Planning and ordering materials and resources, ensuring accurate costs are sought and agreed in order to maximise efficiency and minimise costs.
- Working with your colleagues to make sure the store is always in excellent shape.
