Pay: AU$75,000.00 – AU$85,000.00 per year

Hours: 38 hours per week

Qualifications and Experience

- Minimum Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or a related qualification.
- Diploma of Hospitality Management or higher qualification highly regarded.
- At least one year of relevant experience working as a chef in a commercial kitchen environment.

Skills and Requirements

- Strong culinary knowledge and practical cooking skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- High standards of personal presentation and food hygiene.
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills.

Availability: Work full‑time hours, including weekends and public holidays when required.

Key Responsibilities





- Design and develop current menu items, seasonal specials, and innovative dishes.
- Maintain high standards of food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
- Work closely with management and senior kitchen staff to ensure consistent food quality.
- Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and service requirements.
- Adapt dishes to accommodate customer dietary needs and preferences.
- Monitor food quality throughout all stages of preparation and service.
- Support and supervise kitchen staff, providing training and mentoring where required.
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and performance development of kitchen employees.
- Contribute to roster planning and daily kitchen operations.
- Manage inventory levels, conduct regular stock‑takes, and coordinate supplier orders.
- Inspect and monitor food deliveries, storage conditions, and temperature records.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, workplace health and safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment.
