Make an impact at the University of Wollongong (UOW) - a purpose driven institution ranked in the top 1% of universities globally.
About the Role
How often does anyone get to reshape the brand of a globally ambitious university and stay long enough to make it stick?
As Brand Manager, you'll lead a significant institution-wide brand program, helping define how UOW presents itself across its campuses, research institutes, partnerships and student experiences. Reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer, you'll lead a defined program of institutional brand work: refreshing the brand strategy and positioning, resolving the master brand and sub-brand architecture across the global campuses and the research institutes, rolling the refreshed brand out across the institution, and building the governance and capability that keeps it in good shape once the program is done.
As part of the program you'll also shape UOW's reputation and brand positioning for rankings with the Strategy Division, advise senior leaders as the authoritative voice on brand, and work closely with the Lead Designer and Lead Content Producer on how the brand is expressed in practice.
This is more than a rebrand. It's an opportunity to create a clear, differentiated and enduring identity for a university with global ambitions, and to build the foundational frameworks to embed it into the broader BAU of the team.
About the Team
The Brand and Marketing Division exists to ensure UOW is understood, chosen and championed by students, partners and communities here and around the world. As the University pursues ambitious growth and global aspirations, the Division plays a critical role in shaping how the institution shows up in market and tells its story.
Working across brand, content, campaigns, digital and creative services, the Division plays a critical role in shaping the University's reputation and supporting its growth ambitions. You'll work closely with senior leaders across the University, partnering with specialists in creative, digital and campaign delivery to bring the brand to life across every touchpoint.

While this role doesn't have direct reports, it offers significant influence across the Division and the broader institution.
