Responsibilities
As a Kitchen Hand / Cook /Cleaner, your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and cooking meals in accordance with food safety and hygiene standards.
- Assisting with meal preparation, food service and general kitchen operations.
- Washing dishes, utensils, cookware and kitchen equipment.
- Maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen, dining area and food preparation spaces.
- Completing general cleaning duties including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, sanitising and waste removal.
- Following Workplace Health and Safety (WHS)
procedures at all times.
- Assisting with stock rotation and basic inventory management.
- Ensuring all cleaning equipment and supplies are used safely and stored correctly.
- Working collaboratively within a team while confidently managing tasks independently.
- Contributing to a positive, safe and welcoming environment for staff and visitors.
Your Profile
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in a kitchen, cooking, cleaning or hospitality environment.
- A valuable understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards.
- The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A reliable, positive and proactive attitude.
Essential Requirements
- Current Paid Working With Children Check (WWCC).
- Ability to complete relevant pre-employment checks.
