Job Description

Looking for variety, flexibility and an opportunity to expand your skills in Mental Health Administration?

We are seeking enthusiastic, reliable and adaptable Casual Administration Clerks to join our Mental Health Administration Casual Relief Pool.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience across a variety of Mental Health services while providing essential coverage for annual leave, sick leave and other operational requirement. Orientation and cross-training will be provided to help you develop confidence across our Mental Health Administration services.

About the Role

You will have the chance to be trained and provide administration support across:

- Mental Health Inpatient Units – Ward Clerk:
Support the day-to-day running of our inpatient units, including patient admissions and discharges, reception, patient documentation and supporting our clinical teams.

- Mental Health Day Programs:
Assist with patient bookings, program schedules, attendance, enquiries, documentation and general administration supporting our outpatient programs.





- ECT – Electroconvulsive Therapy:
Support the coordination of ECT treatment lists, patient bookings, admission documentation and communication with clinical teams.

- Mental Health Admission Triage:
Assist with upcoming admissions, pre-admission documentation, health fund checks, referrals, patient records and ensuring patients are administratively ready for admission.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

- Has strong administration, organisation and computer skills
- Has excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Communicates professionally and compassionately with patients and staff
- Can work effectively in a busy healthcare environment
- Is flexible, reliable and enjoys working across different areas
- Is willing to learn and undertake cross-training across Mental Health services

Previous hospital, healthcare, medical reception or administration experience is highly regarded.
