- $92,287 - $99,294 per annum + super + allowances + salary packaging

Hedland Well Women’s Centre (HWWC) is a community-based, not-for-profit organisation supporting women and families across Hedland. We deliver services across:

We are seeking an experienced Communications Coordinator to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to lead communications and marketing in a purpose-driven organisation, contributing to improved health and wellbeing outcomes for women in the Port Hedland community.
This role is responsible for creating engaging content, managing digital and social media platforms, promoting programs and events, and strengthening community and stakeholder relationships to advance Hedland Well Women's Centre vision and purpose.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement communications and marketing strategy
- Manage social media, website and digital platforms
- Create content (graphics, videos, campaigns)
- Monitor analytics and improve engagement
- Coordinate newsletters, media and communications content
- Maintain stakeholder and member distribution lists
- Liaise with media and respond to enquiries
- Grow and manage membership base
- Support campaigns, events and community activations
- Assist with health promotion activities, front office and outreach
- Build strong relationships with partners and service providers
- Represent Hedland Well Women's Centre at events and community forums
- Support staff in communication best practice
- Improve systems and processes for sustainable delivery
About You
You are a creative and organised communications professional who:
- Has experience in marketing, communications or a similar role
- Is confident managing social media, digital platforms and content creation tools
- Can translate strategy into engaging, high-quality content
- Has solid writing, interpersonal and organisational skills
- Is passionate about community impact and women’s health
Skills & Experience
- Degree in communications, marketing or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Experience with tools such as Canva, Meta, and Microsoft 365
- Knowledge of digital marketing, analytics and audience engagement
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- National Police Certificate (or ability to obtain)
