About Bardot

Established in 1996 in Melbourne, Bardot was born from a love of modern femininity, creating pieces that help women feel confident, powerful and ready for any occasion. What started as a local bricks-and-mortar label has evolved into a truly global fashion brand, with a strong digital and wholesale footprint across Australia, New Zealand, the USA and Europe.

Bardot is worn worldwide and stocked through leading retail partners including Nordstrom, Macy's and REVOLVE, alongside Bardot's owned channels, bringing trend‑led design and elevated wardrobe staples to an international audience.

About The Role

Looking for a detail-driven Garment Tech to own the technical process behind every style, from spec creation through to production sign‑off. Reporting to the Production Manager, you'll partner closely with the design team to turn trend‑led concepts into accurate, well‑constructed, production‑ready product across both our Southern and Northern hemisphere ranges.

Key Focus

- Create accurate and detailed specs, tech packs, bills of materials and fit comments using Excel, Publisher and AP21.
- Submit grading and fully graded spec measurements to suppliers for bulk production, applying garment grade rules consistently.
- Comment on bulk fabric and trim approvals, lab dips and print strike offs submitted by suppliers.
- Approve care labels submitted by suppliers, ensuring accuracy across fabric type and garment category.
- Conduct garment fittings and clearly communicate fit alterations through detailed imagery and written descriptions in tech packs and specs.

- Work confidently and autonomously with in‑house pattern makers and sample machinists to develop, refine and elevate product.
- Manage styles from first fit through to production approval, ensuring samples reflect the intended design direction at every stage.
- Liaise directly with factories and suppliers to negotiate FOB pricing and develop cost-effective, high-quality product.
- Communicate construction, fabric and finishing requirements clearly and proactively throughout development and production.

What we're looking for

- Proven experience as a Garment Technologist, ideally within childrenswear, fashion or apparel.
- Robust technical skills across spec writing, tech packs, grading and bill of materials.
- Confident working with pattern makers and sample machinists, with a sharp eye for fit and construction.
- Sound understanding of fabrication, trims, fastenings and garment construction.
- Experience liaising directly with factories and suppliers, including FOB negotiation.
- High regard for candidates with knowledge of Excel, Publisher and AP21.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple styles and deadlines in a fast‑paced, critical‑path‑driven environment.

Why Join Bardot

- Work with a global fashion brand with strong momentum and vision.
- Be part of a supportive, collaborative team that values creativity and precision.
- Real opportunities for internal development and progression.
- 50% off product allowance.
- Flexible working – 4 days in office, 1 day WFH.

If you're excited by the role and ready to bring precision and craftsmanship to Bardot, we'd love to hear from you. Click Apply and send your resume.
