We’re seeking a motivated Sewerage Technician to support the operation and maintenance of sewer infrastructure. If you enjoy outdoor work, problem-solving and leading a small team, this could be the role for you.

This position operates and maintains Council’s wastewater reticulation network, including sewer mains and pump stations. The Sewerage Technician provides technical, planning and leadership functions within a small team to ensure that wastewater services meet Council’s service standards, community expectations, and legislative requirements.

The successful applicant will be a self-starter and able to work in a team setting while carrying out a variety of tasks.

This role will require immunisation for Hepatitis A and B and will require follow up tests to confirm immunity.

Essential Criteria

Sound knowledge and experience in the operation and maintenance of a sewer reticulation networkSound knowledge and experience in the operation and maintenance of sewer pump stationsSound understanding of water and sewer hydraulicsSound Work Health and Safety Awareness and understandingCurrent NSW Driver licence minimum Class CWHS Construction Induction (White Card)Sound knowledge in the metric system of measurementExperience in the utilisation of small plant used in the construction industryKnowledge and experience of electronic monitoring systems including SCADAProven leadership experienceAbility to meet the physical demands of a position requiring considerable labouring work

Salary: $1,403.60 to $1,474.68 per week + 12% superannuation

Position Status: Permanent - Full-time

Hours of work: 38 hours per week with an RDO every second week and the ability to work on a rotating on-call roster outside of ordinary hours.
