Are you looking for a paediatric Occupational Therapy role where development, support and work-life balance are genuinely prioritised?

Join an established paediatric Occupational Therapy provider supporting children and families across NSW. Their Central Coast clinic, right next to the beach, has served the community for more than 30 years and offers a highly equipped, playful environment designed around children’s sensory, motor and functional needs.

This position is suitable for an experienced paediatric OT, an early-career clinician or an Occupational Therapist looking to transition into paediatrics.

Rather than being handed a full caseload immediately, you will commence with approximately 10–15 families per week and gradually build over four to six months. During this period, you will have regular opportunities to observe experienced therapists, participate in training and receive practical support within sessions.

The Role

You will provide individualised Occupational Therapy services to children experiencing:

- Autism and developmental differences
- Sensory processing and emotional regulation challenges
- Fine and gross motor difficulties
- Behavioural and social participation challenges
- Trauma-related and complex developmental needs
- Difficulties with independence and everyday activities

The majority of appointments are clinic-based, with some opportunities to support children within homes, schools or preschool environments.
Your responsibilities will include:

- Completing paediatric assessments and therapy sessions
- Developing meaningful goals alongside children and families
- Delivering play-based, developmental and relationship-focused therapy
- Supporting parents and caregivers with practical strategies
- Collaborating with schools, families and other health professionals
- Maintaining accurate clinical notes and reports
- Participating in supervision, mentoring and professional development

Support and Development

You will be joining a team that places significant emphasis on developing confident and capable paediatric therapists.
Support includes:

- Weekly individual clinical and professional mentoring
- Weekly group supervision and case discussions
- In-session coaching and peer co-treatment opportunities
- Access to international Master Clinician training
- Up to 15 hours of observation and shadowing per week initially
- At least $1,000 annually toward external professional development
- Individual career pathways aligned with your clinical interests
- Opportunities across leadership, supervision, projects and ownership

The organisation also invests extensively in internal education covering sensory processing, trauma, complex families, relationship-based approaches and DIR/Floortime.

The Clinic
The Berkeley Vale clinic includes seven treatment rooms and a wide variety of specialised resources, including swings, hammocks, trampolines, balance equipment, a ball pit, crash mats and daily living facilities.
There is onsite parking and access to public transport

Benefits

- Competitive salary above award rates
- Bonus and profit-sharing opportunities
- Paid parental leave after 12 months
- Flexible full-time or part time arrangements
- Manageable billable expectations
- Gradual and supported caseload development
- Established administration and reception team
- Reduced paperwork and reporting requirements
- Well-resourced sensory and therapy spaces
- Clear clinical, leadership and ownership pathways
- Supportive and connected team culture
- Central Coast lifestyle close to beaches and nature

Requirements

- Relevant Qualification in Occupational Therapy
- Current AHPRA registration
- Genuine interest in supporting children and families
- Commitment to evidence-informed practice and ongoing learning
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Paediatric experience is valued but not essential
- Current Working With Children Check, NDIS Clearance and Police Checks
