$65,000 – $79,000 inclusive of adverse working allowance + up to 15% Superannuation
9-day fortnight (enjoy every second Monday off!)

Love working outdoors and making a real difference?

Spend your days caring for some of Armadale's most beautiful natural environments. One day you could be restoring bushland amongst towering Jarrah and Marri forests, the next maintaining trails and reserves surrounded by native wildlife, wildflowers and stunning landscapes.

This is a hands-on role where you'll work as part of a supportive team maintaining and enhancing the City's natural areas. From weed control and vegetation management to bushland restoration and reserve maintenance, you'll play an important role in protecting the environment for future generations.

What you'll do

- Assist with the maintenance, restoration and enhancement of natural bushland areas
- Undertake weed control, vegetation management and general Landcare activities
- Operate and maintain equipment including chainsaws, whipper snippers, trucks and trailers
- Assist with environmental management programs and bushland regeneration works
- Remove vegetation debris, litter and waste from natural areas and reserves
- Complete daily work records and support reporting requirements
- Work safely and collaboratively as part of a high-performing team

Who you are

- Passionate about the environment and working outdoors
- Enjoy practical, hands-on work and being active throughout the day
- Reliable, safety-focused and take pride in your work
- Able to work effectively as part of a team
- Experienced in operating small plant, equipment and hand tools
- Comfortable working in varying weather conditions and natural environments

Requirements

- Certificate II in Conservation and Land Management (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in Landcare, bushland maintenance, landscaping or related outdoor work
- Experience operating chainsaws, whipper snippers and similar equipment
- Experience handling pesticides and chemicals safely
- Current C-Class Driver's Licence
- Ability to obtain a current National Police Certificate
