CHE QLD is seeking to employ experienced MACHINIST to join our team of dedicated professionals. We are looking for hardworking individuals who can meet company challenges and surpass client expectations. The role includes but is not limited to:
Read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications to understand the requirements for the metal component to be machined Cut and shape custom mounting brackets, frames, and suspension components that hold truck bodies securely to vehicle chassis Diagnose equipment malfunctions, perform repairs, and execute corrective maintenance to prevent operational disruptions
Machine and thread components for hydraulic rams, cylinder barrels, and fluid power lines that lift heavy truck bodies Repair, fabricate, and fit heavy metal components Operate manual and CNC machine tools, and line boring or reconditioning worn parts
Inspect broken or worn machinery parts to determine if they can be repaired or must be re-machined Cleaning, oiling, and performing daily operational checks on workshop lathes, milling machines,
and portable line-boring rigs Relevant Mechanical Trade (essential)
Previous experience in the machining of hydraulics (desirable) Ability to measure and work from samples (highly regarded) Ability to complete transparent and accurate reports and documentation
To be considered for this role, you must have the following: Knowledge and ability to read and follow engineering drawings and diagrammed instructions Knowledge in operating grinders, lathes and milling machines
Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues that may arise during the manufacturing process Values precision and enforces quality standards Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills
Able to work productively, largely unsupervised Knowledge and expertise with various steel and metals Reliable, self-motivated with a great work ethic
