As a Facilities & Fleet Officer, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of Meli’s facilities and vehicle fleet across our diverse community services. Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders, contractors and service providers, you’ll help ensure our sites and fleet assets are safe, compliant, well-maintained and fit for purpose, enabling our teams to deliver high-quality services to the community.
As a Facilities & Fleet Officer, you will:
- Coordinate the day-to-day operation, maintenance and compliance of Meli’s vehicle fleet, including servicing, repairs, inspections and fleet records.
- Manage facilities maintenance requests, liaising with contractors and stakeholders to ensure works are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Support building, safety and compliance activities by maintaining documentation, coordinating inspections and following up outstanding actions.
- Maintain accurate asset, maintenance and fleet records while providing responsive support and advice to internal stakeholders across Meli’s sites.
Position Details
- Ongoing, full-time position
- 1 FTE working 38 hours per week
- $80,186 p/a + Super & Salary Packaging
What We’re Looking For
We value individuals who bring dedication, empathy, and expertise to their roles. To succeed in this position, you will have:
- Demonstrated experience in a fleet operations
- Knowledge of relevant legislation to ensure compliance in fleet and road safety.
- Demonstrated experience in facilities, property, or operational support roles, ideally within community or public environments
- Strong administrative,
coordination and organisation skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Sound computer literacy, including experience using databases, service request or asset management systems.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders and contractors
- Basic understanding of building maintenance, contractor coordination, and compliance or safety-related activities.
