Ocean Dunes is entering an exciting new chapter.
With our championship links golf course already recognised as one of Australia's premier golf destinations, we're preparing to open a brand-new 48-room hotel overlooking the spectacular coastline of King Island in February 2027.

We're looking for an experienced Resort Operations Manager to join our leadership team and play a pivotal role in bringing this vision to life.

This is a rare opportunity to help establish operational standards, recruit and develop a high-performing team, and shape the guest experience from day one.

About Ocean Dunes
Located on the rugged west coast of King Island, Ocean Dunes combines world-class golf with breathtaking ocean views and genuine Tasmanian hospitality.

The new resort will feature:

- 48 luxury guest rooms

- Restaurant, bar and lounge (opening late 2027)

- Golf shop and guest facilities

- Future luxury villas and expanded resort amenities

This is a hands-on leadership role where no two days will be the same.

About the Role

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you'll oversee the day-to-day operation of the resort while leading the successful pre-opening and ongoing delivery of exceptional guest experiences.

You'll work across every aspect of the operation including:

- Accommodation operations

- Front Office and Guest Services

- Housekeeping

- Food & Beverage

- Guest Experience

- Maintenance coordination

- Team leadership and culture

- Financial performance

- Operational systems and procedures





- WHS and compliance

You'll play a key role in recruiting the team, developing operating procedures, implementing systems, and ensuring Ocean Dunes opens as one of Australia's premier luxury golf destinations.

About You

We're looking for an energetic hospitality leader who enjoys building teams and creating memorable guest experiences.

You'll ideally bring:

- Previous leadership experience within a hotel, resort or luxury hospitality environment

- Experience managing multi-department operations

- Strong people leadership and coaching skills

- Excellent commercial and financial acumen

- A passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences

- Outstanding communication and organisational skills

- A calm, hands-on leadership style

- The ability to thrive in a dynamic pre-opening environment

Previous pre-opening experience will be highly regarded but is not essential.
