About the role

Working as part of our Metering & Connections team, you’ll travel across your allocated region completing a variety of water metering activities for domestic and commercial customers.

No two days are the same. You’ll be trusted to work independently while being supported by an experienced operations team committed to safety, quality and customer service.

Your day could include:

- Installing and replacing water meters
- Installing and replacing data loggers
- Completing meter investigations and customer meter testing
- Recycled water inspections and testing
- Conducting site investigations and customer notifications
- Diagnosing and resolving metering faults
- Recording work accurately using digital systems




- Providing outstanding customer service while representing the NPS brand
- Working safely and contributing to a positive team culture

About you

You’ll enjoy working outdoors, take pride in doing the job properly and be someone who can think on your feet.

Ideally you’ll have:

- Experience as a Meter Technician, Plumber, Utilities Labourer or in a similar field-based role is preferred
- Current White Card
- Current Driver Licence
- First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain)
- Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- A safety-first mindset
- The ability to work independently while contributing to a supportive team
